Do you think we should bring back the Organic Garden? With so many different commercial chemicals used on everything we eat, it's difficult to believe there might be such a thing as homemade fertilizer and the Organic Garden.
There is no doubt that chemicals are harming our environment. There are bird species that no longer exist in certain areas. Insecticides have poisoned the insects that these birds eat and they have died a slow death. Bees, that pollinate our food crops, are dying off in large numbers too because they cannot discriminate between the deadly blooms and the safe ones. They are only trying to get food for their families too.
Many of our food producers just apply large quantities of chemical pesticides to their crops as a preventative measure every few days, whether they are needed or not. We have to reverse as much of this as we possibly can. By reducing our own use of retail chemicals and growing organic gardens using homemade fertilizer and homemade pesticides we can make a start.
Things like the Organic garden and homemade fertilizer have been pushed into the background. By making a conscious effort to bring back homemade fertilizer and to use compost and compost tea we will be able to bring back the organic garden. Start by reducing some of the more dangerous insecticides from your garden environment.
If we continue to use the quantity of chemicals we are presently using it is highly likely that we will continue to accumulate unwanted and detrimental products in our bodies? If we learn to grow an organic garden we can improve the food we eat while we help the environment.
